Mindfulness 2020

Kia Ora bloggers!

Today I'm going to be taking about Mindfulness. One of our teacher Ms Ikinofo teach us Mindfulness. She teached us different ways to hear our breathing and to relax. We had different ideas of how we felt and there was no right or wrong. We did different movement and they were called Downward dog, Snake Pose, Candle Breath, Child Pose, Crocodile Pose and the table Pose. One of the hardest on to do was properly the table it was basically like a plank. At the end everyone got to lay down on the Yoga mat. We also made these little cool jars of glitter, we made it by using a jar and then we put water into the jar made it. We only had four weeks and yesterday was the last day.

Waikowhai Intermediate Visit

 Hey bloggers, today I'm going to be telling you about something cool that happen. The year six's went Waikowhai Intermediate. But We didn't walked down as a group we had to go by our self's or with a parent. We got to meet our teachers for next year. My teacher was Miss Berry in room 9. I've got a few friends in my class from my school. She told us about things we might get to do next year when were year 7.  She said if they weren't to much tragic thing next year we would get to go camp in week 5!! The teachers told us that the year 7's have to go next year on February the 2nd so we can get a nice view for everything and get use to your class mates but just the year 7 not year 8.

 In my class we got to color in a big nine that represents you and all your favorite things. There were different events. But she told us that we had to do actual homework not just actual for paper it actual homework. We had to read a book for 30 minute at home just so your ready for collage/high school. We didn't really learn much because we spend only one hour there. At the end we got to see the different uniform to wear in summer for winter. We had a great time there. Skateboarding!!

 Hey bloggers, today I'm going to be telling you guys what we did today. 

First session) We did skateboarding today and it was super fun. We are so lucky to be having Ben and Lawrence  teach us some cool tricks. We did some tricks they were Tick-taxs, Balancing lungs and some people did the 180 degree flip. Its where you put your skateboard upside down and you would have to flick it up and turn and land. I looked pretty scary to be honest, the Tick-taxs, they called it two different name on the skateboard the top was called the nose and the end was called the tail.  You would have to stand on the tail and not the nose so the nose is pointing up to the sky. We gently got our other foot and placed it on the nose.  

They also taught us how to pick up our skateboard without bending down to get it. They said we had to quickly stand on the tali and quickly move our foot and grab the skateboard. After learning all those moves we got to play a little game of What's Up Wolf but on a skateboard. It was pretty easy but hard at the same time. The first person  to cross the line wins. So we had a try get to the other side but if they catch you moving you would have to move back four steps. If he said dinner time we would all have skate all the way to the line. We had a lot of team work and learning new skills some people even learnt how to ride a skateboard.  

2nd Session) We had two sessions each class. We did a trick called the willy flip. We just practiced some tricks we did in the morning. At the end we got to play around with the skateboard and learn new tricks. But some of us were just playing around and teaching other kids how to do the tricks we learnt.  My friends were going well they were skating it was pretty cool. It was super fun because you get to learn new thing with you friends.  Well thank you for reading my blog, bye!!  

Production

 Hey bloggers, today I'm going to talk about production. It started at 7:00 pm and finished at 8:30, but Fridays one it started at 11:30 to 12:30. It was called the Jasmine and Aladdin. It was about a boy who had this magical lamp and he only had three wishes. He promised the Genie that his third wish is going to be setting the Genie free. It was in week 4 at Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The audience really enjoyed it, we could hear lot of laughing and just seeing peoples faces light up. If you came one of those night how was it? I really enjoyed the whole schools dancing, they had really cool moves.  My favorite dance out of whole school was Keruru . They had catchy movement and I really liked the song  Walk Like Camel. There were nine different scenes and each scene had a cool style to it. The  main cast were Aladdin (Masi), Jasmine (Brittany), Omar (Aysha), Gewiz (Jonathan), Genie (Maddison / Ari), and Persia (Hosanna).  Thank you to all the helpers that helped to make it a wonderful production and all teachers that helped with the backstage stuff. Thank you Miss McGrath and Ms Sands for staying after school for 13 weeks straight and some were on google meets to rehearse so thank you. Well thats all bloggers blog you later.  

THE FINAL DANCE!

Netball

 Hey blogger, today I'm going to be telling you about Netball. Yes it is lockdown and your probably wonder why is Netball in lockdown. 2 weeks ago we played Netball. That when it wasn't lockdown. So let me tell you about what happen 2 weeks ago on Saturday. So on Saturday was Netball and it was raining but not that hard. We won, but I forgot the points. If anyone from Marshall Laing is reading this. You guys did a fantastic job on Netball. At the end we all go lollies for my friends mum and ate them all. The other team which is Magic won as well but again I don't know the points. Sorry. Well have a great day blogger. Bye.

Saturday netball

Hey bloggers today I'm going to be telling you about Saturday netball. It was super fun. Our game started at 11:30. Me and my team were really nervous because some of us were new and our first time playing netball. There were two teams Magic and Stars. Magic lost by 0-22 but they still did amazing and tried their best. Stars were versing St. Francis and won by 32-5. We were super happy and had a lot fun. This week we are versing Marshall Laing. I'm a bit nervous but still excited. Well wish us luck. Have a great day bye!!!

Waikowhai Intermediate

Hey bloggers, today I'm going to be sharing with you when the Year 6 went to Waikowhai Intermediate. The first thing we did was that we got on the bus and went down the road. When we arrived we went straight into the hall. In there was the principal and two kids. We got there early and no one easel was there. That meant we got to play on the playground and got to meet our old school friends. After morning tea we went inside and found that all the schools were waiting for us. We got a teacher each and went around the school. It was pretty big and fun. I can't wait until I go to Waikowhai Intermediate but I'm going to miss my friends that are going to another school and teachers. want to see some photo scroll down .Well that all I have for you blogger so blog you later.

Matariki Day

Hey bloggers, today I'm going to be telling you about the activities we did for Matariki. We did a lot of fun things.

Art 
So for art we made kites, so first we designed art work then we colored it in with pastel. After we colored it in with dye. It was dyed with different colors. Then we got the bamboo and glue gunned it into a triangle, then we got a cord and glued them around it. Just after that we glued our art work on to the bamboo and put feathers on it.

Maori bread
Maori bread was super yummy and it was fast and easy this might blow your mind for how we made it. So first we add sun raising flower because it ha baking soda then add water for the dough. Then we shaped it into square and we got to put it into the oil. After that we got to put Chocolate, Jam, and butter it was yummmy.

Stop motion 
Stop motion was super fun because we got to retell a story about Matariki. We used play dough to make the characters we also so got white paper to make the background. It was super fun to do and a lot of laughing in that room. When people were finished got to do a voice background. Anyway thanks for reading if you want to see photo scroll down. That's all bye!! 

Racism response

Good afternoon bloggers today I'm going to be telling you guys about our racism responses. We watched a video and it was about a teacher who said that blue eyed people and better then brown eyed. So that meant they couldn't play together. But the next day she said that brown eyed people are better than blue eyed people so brown eyed people played together and blue eyed people played together. But the next day she made kids with the brown eyes wear a collar because she couldn't she people that have brown eyes. A boy got sick of it and he started to bang his head on the table, the next day she told the class to never bully some one that has a different skin and eye color. what did you learn by reading this? Anyways have a good blog you later.

Tookits

Hey guys today I'm going to be sharing with you what we did for toolkits. So on the 18th of June 2020 was toolkits but it was the first time we did toolkits by google meet. We had to follow rules for toolkits and it was no writing on the chat unless you don't have a microphone, Mics off, and don't be disrespectful to the speaker. There were 3 session that we did, each session we did we had to write it into a slide show and write what worked and didn't.  My favorite activity would have to be word art because I tried to do a heart and for the out side I used thing we may or may not love. The schools that we there was Waikowhai Primary School, Hay Park, New Windsor, Owairaka, Wesley Primary, Christ King, Wesley Intermediate, May Road and a lot more schools. Week 8 Post Lockdown Creations

Post lockdown

Hey blogger today I'm going to be sharing with you my post lock down that I did in the past week. So there was a lot of cool activities that I did, one is my favorite and it is the lock down smack down. Lock down smack down is an activity that the whole Te Waka Ako did. It's where we had to chose what we liked to do digitally during lock down. We had to write detail of the activity. Me and my buddy were super nervous. What was your favorite part of the week and why?

My lock down diray

Hey blogger today I'm going to be telling you about my lockdown diary that started on the 26th of March if you wanted to know. 2020 started of with a virus called Covid 19 or Cornavirus, it started out of China and people say the way that it got to different countries was people who had it didn't know  they did and were flying to different countries and transferred it to other people. That's why we went into lock down. while in it we had to stay home and do work from there. We also did online class which I thought was cool. From home we had differentce activities to do and I did a few of them. My favorite one is kahoot and it was super fun to make one. So my Mum and Dad went to work on the next week of level 3 and my oldest brother took care of us when my parents went to work. So in my bubble was my Dad, Mum, Sister, Brother, Sister, Brother and me, it was great fun staying home and being with my family but sometimes I missed my friends a lot. But a least I got to face time them.  So my lock down diary is about the activities we did during  lock down. It was mostly about what you want to do when the lock down is over. I want this lock down to be over so we can go back to things that were normal like swimming, parks, or even going to Australia and Tonga to see all my family members. I enjoyed every second of it because it was really fun doing different activities and it was really really fun because it learning and playing games which was really fun to me. Post Lockdown

Hey blogger today I'm going to be telling you about our day. Our first week back after 8 weeks of lock down has been amazing because even though we have to keep a distance it been fun seeing everyone's faces and enjoying their day. We did this thing were we had to do three activities  and there were three groups and it was group 1, group 2, group 3. I am group 1 and the first day of the activities I did science and we put the skittle on and plate on a circle and put water in the middle and there were the same amount of sugar in the skittle so it was evan and it was coming to the middle and it looked so cool so if you want to see it here. Hey blogger to day i'm going to be telling you guys about our online class. As you should know we are all in level 3 and there is still online class. So our teacher Ms sands,Mrs Jones,Miss Daly tried to make all 3 class to get on one whole meet. So they tried and it worked, but when you asked a student to cast it wouldn't work because they thought it was the amount of people that were on the meet. It was shocking that they could fit in 58 people on the meet and yeah that all I have for you blogger so stay safe and have a great day, blog you later bye!

Hey blogger today i'm gonna be telling you about my pixel art I did. So I was really bored yesterday and I wanted to do something I can put on my blog and I decided to do pixel art so I did it. I started of with doing a brear face so I did and it was fun but it was tricky erasing it of because I would always delete it and then I colored the ears and put white dots on the eyes to try and make it look real then I put the mouth and year if you want to see it scroll down. Lockdown Diary

Hey blogger today i'm going to be telling you guy what is my favourite thing that the teacher gave us to do. So we all know that we a still are in lockdown but we are going to leave 3 which mean we can go out but we have to still stay inside and the police are still pulling over car and asking them where they are going. So our teacher gave the whole Te Waka Ako a slideshow to do and one of them was the lockdown diary, what is a lockdown diary you it a slideshow that has work on it for you to fill in and then our teacher will make them. The reason why I like the lockdown diary it because we do two things each day and also we get to do different stuff each day and I find it fun. Fun activities

                                                                                                                 Fun activities at home.

Hey blogger today i'm going to be telling you want some fun activities I do at home but I don't have that much so let just get into it. First up is drawing but i'm not really get at it but I find it fun for some reason. I even drawed a girl that had flowers on her head but it not the best drawing ever but it my best on.

 Second is is making paper squishy for this I mostly make everyday. This is what you would need: paper,tape(clear),toy stuffing,pen,scissor s . So if you have any for these at home you could make them yourself. So first you get a piece of paper and you would want to fold it into a half. Next you get you pen or anything you want to draw with. So you draw anything on the piece of paper after you would need to tape it into strips and the back after that you cut it out. When your finished cutting you cut the sides but don't tape the whole thing you would leave one side open. That when you put in the toy stuffing then after that you tape it up and year that all and then you can squish it. So year that all that is fun at home but I can't wait for the lock down is finished because that when school starts again. ok bye bloggers see you later.
