Art people.

Our Art People

Hey bloggers last week and this week we have been doing some visual art. The art was based on a Sri Lankan girl and the boy was an Afghan boy. The reason why we did the art is because when the whole school is done we are going to put it on the gate that goes up the backtrack. This will represent the different cultures in our school, and our respect for all people. This is how we made it:

  • We were given the small drawing template which we had to design the cultural outfits on.
  • To do this, we had to search for images on the internet, then use these to draw our patterns and clothing styles.
  • Once we had all finished, we had to select which to use. Two were chosen for the girl, and two for the boy.
  • Then we had to redraw the people, using the designs selected, blended together.
Transferring the designs to the boards:
  • We got a girl and traced around her so we would have the same height and length.
  • After we traced around her, our teachers drew the patterns. When the teachers were done they put us in groups and we would have to paint and the first class to be finished in the whole school is Haumia, it is in room 9.
So yeah that's all I have for you - blog you later.

  1. Lots of excellent explanations about the fence people Disaree. We will be putting them up on the fence this week or next week. It would be great to show all the artworks in another blog when they are up.
